Here is your chance to combine our wonderful beaches and coastline with the rugged landscapes of outback Australia. A 14 day camping tour the takes you through the Daintree to the Hot Springs and continues to the Gem fields of Queensland.

Day 1- Cairns to Undara
Departing Cairns we travel through the beautiful rain forests of the Atherton Tablelands calling at Kuranda, the Curtain Fig and the beautiful volcanic Crater Lakes.

We make our way to Undara Lava tubes, these huge tunnels were formed thousands of years ago by the moltern lava solidifying on the outside edges leaving these unique tunnels.
Overnight in a renovated turn of the century rail carriage and enjoy dinner beneath the stars. Overnight Undara

Day 2- Undara
Spend a day experiencing the lava tubes and craters of Undara.

Day 3- Porcupine Gorge
After an early rise and a delightful bush breakfast we have our last opportunity to visit these Tubes before morning off toward Hughenden.

Day 4- Longreach
This morning we travel through Hughenden along the Kennedy Development Road to Winton and down to Longreach. Longreach is where Queensland and Northern Territory Air Services QANTAS began. Qantas is the world’s oldest airline. Visit the interesting museum and walk through Qantas first jumbo jet.

Day 5- Longreach
Today we visit the Stockman’s Hall of Fame with its outstanding history on Australia’s beef cattle industry.

Day 6- Carnarvon Gorge
Departing early we travel through Springsure, Rolleston and into Carnarvon National Park. We set up camp & take a stroll into the Gorge.

Day 7- Carnavon Gorge
Today we explorer Carnarvon National Park

Day 8- Rockhampton
Up early for another walk into this spectacular Gorge, along the creek and into some of the rugged side gorges before returning and rejoining the vehicle for our trip to the coast. We make our way through Banana to our accommodation.

Day 9- Mackay
Today we travel northwards through the dairy regions to Sarina & Mackay.

Day 10- Townsville
Departing Bowen (Home of the famous Bowen mangoes) we continue up the coast to Townsville. This thriving city is a major port and home to of the Australian Defence Forces Northern Region.

Day 11- Bloomfield Track
This morning we make our way into Cairns and onto the Daintree. We visit Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge and cross the Daintree River. This World Heritage Listed Rainforest meets the World Heritage Great Barrier Reef coastal park at Cape Tribulation. Walk the coral sands from the rainforest to the sea before continuing along the coast.

Day 12- Cooktown
Today we travel to the Bloomfield Falls and onto Cooktown named by Captain James Cook. Upon his departure from the Australian coast in 1770 he holed his ship upon the reef and returned to beach his ship at the place now named Cooktown.

Day 13- Lakefield
After a good look around Cooktown we make our way into Lakefield National Park for our last evening. This pristine rainforest is the third largest in Queensland.

Day 14- Cairns
This morning we make our way into Cairns via Laura, Lakeland and Maryfarms
