Discover colourful cultures and vibrant landscapes as you travel along the dragon’s backbone from busy Bangkok, through the sacred rice fields of rural China and into the modern hum of Hong Kong. From the mountain markets of Chiang Mai to the emerald waters of Halong Bay and across the footbridges of sleepy Chengyang, take a journey that will capture your heart and imagination. Get set to explore ancient temples, colourful markets and vast, striking landscapes on an adventure that will bring your senses alive.
Days 1-2 Bangkok
Ride a longtail through the khlongs and enjoy a guided tour of Wat Pho.
Day 3 Chiang Mai
With over 300 temples and wonderful markets, there's something for everyone in Chiang Mai. Trek to the top of Doi Suthep and gaze over this walled city.
Day 4 Chiang Khong
Get a final taste of Thai food in this frontier town.
Day 5 Mekong River
Ride a barge down the Mekong, into the revered Pak Ou Caves.
Days 6-8 Luang Prabang
Take a songthaew to Kuang Si Falls before exploring Luang Prabang's colour-drenched streets.
Days 9-11 Vientiane
Pass through Vang Vieng's dramatic limestone scenery on the way to Vientiane. Trawl the vibrant morning market for local treasures or visit Pha That Luang, Laos' most important national monument.
