Visit to a cheetah project Traditional cultural dancing Wildlife encounters in Kruger National Park African sunsets and camping underneath the stars 

DAY 1, Cheetah project, Kruger National Park
We head east into the Greater Kruger region beyond the Drakensberg Mountains and arrive at our lodge. This afternoon we visit a cheetah rehabilitation centre to see the work done here and to get up close to these amazing cats. We also have the chance to relax and watch traditional local dancing back at our lodge. Tonight we sleep in traditional rondavels, brightly painted in Ndebele tribal designs.

DAYS 2 - 3, Kruger National Park
This morning we enter Kruger National Park in open game drive vehicles – perfect for wildlife viewing, and we game drive our way to our camp deep in the park. Kruger is home to over 505 species of birds, 148 species of mammals and an abundance of reptiles. Throughout the rest of today and the following day we enjoy game drives in the park, mainly going out in the early morning or late afternoon when animals are at their most active and predators are on the prowl. With luck we will see some or all of the ‘Big Five’ – elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo – as well as giraffes, antelope, zebra and a mix or birds and reptiles.

We rest during the heat of the day when there is time to swim in the camp pool. After dinner there’s time to share stories around camp before we sleep in pre-erected tents under the stars. There is also the chance to take either an optional morning game walk as the bushveld awakes or an optional night drive, to experience Kruger under the cover of darkness and meet some of its extraordinary nocturnal inhabitants.

DAY 4, Kruger National Park, Johannesburg
We enjoy fi nal animal sightings on a game drive to the park gates before exiting and transferring back to Johannesburg where our tour ends in the late afternoon.
