Wake up to the wonderful sound of birdsong. Staying in tree houses high up in the forest canopy of Khao Sok National Park, you’ll be worlds away from hectic city life. Travel by boat to Raja Phraba Lake to sleep in a peaceful rafthouse. Kick back, feast on local cuisine and enjoy the stunning surrounds of tropical Thailand.

Days 1-2 Bangkok/ Overnight Train
Get out there and grab a few bargains - sarongs, bags or souvenirs - at the Pratunam wholesale market, zip along the khlongs in a longtail or maybe sample some of Bangkok's exciting nightlife along Khao San Road. There's time for a soothing Thai massage, some more shopping at MBK or a moment of spirituality - at the the striking Wat Arun, before boarding the overnight sleeper train south.

Day 3 Khao Sok National Park
Climb the long ladder to your simple tree house, home for the night. Take to the walking trails to spot some of the plethora of creatures that inhabit this tropical piece of paradise or ride a tube downriver to soak up the stunning waterside scenery.

Days 4-5 Khao Sok Rafthouse
Travel by boat to tucked-away rafthouses on the beautiful Raja Phraba Lake. Set deep in the heart of the jungle and surrounded by fantastic limestone peaks, you'll wake up to the exotic sounds of gibbons and birds.

Day 6 Surat Thani
Enjoy an early morning boat ride out to a bat-filled cave or take to the waters one last time in a canoe.
